2010 Seasonal Fire Permit's are ready to be picked up at the Fire Station Monday - Friday between the hours of 8am - 4pm ONLY.  These are automatically renewable only if you were issued a permit in 2009.

TOWN OF HOLLIS BURN PERMITS

Every day, Hollis Fire Personnel work with the NH Department of Forestry to ascertain, based on various environmental conditions, the safety of conducting controlled burning.

When permits are being issued, they can be obtained, free of charge, from the Hollis Fire Station from the hours of 7am - 7pm.  Burning is permitted from 5pm to 9am the following day.

There is no one in the office on weekends or holidays so please do not leave a message to obtain a burn permit. However you can still obtain a burn permit by coming to the fire station between the hours of 7am - 7pm when permits are being issued.

A new permit is required for each burning day.  Please read all instructions contained on the permit and especially to watch over your burning!  If you require a permit more then a few times a year we urge you to inquire about a seasonal burn permit.  Brush and wood can not exceed 5 inches in diameter.  Homeowners may burn clean and non contaminated wood.

Fire rings and chimenea's etc... require a fire permit.

Contractors may obtain a permit to burn Monday - Friday ONLY.  Written permission from the land owner and inspection of the sight will be required.  Demolition material can not be burned.
