Hollis Cemetery Trustees

Minutes of November 18, 2004

Attendees: Chris Buzzy - Chairman, Nancy Bell, Jeff Snow & Joe Oliver

The meeting was held in the Lower Town Hall and was called to order at 7:00 pm.

Minutes

Chris moved to approve the minutes of October 21, 2004 as amended. Nancy seconded and the motion carried unanimously.

Old Business

Chris presented the Proposed 2005 budget to the Selectmen. The Selectmen had no concerns.

Chris approved the North Cemetery to be surveyed with new granite bounds by Construction Management Services. This would require the roadway to be moved as necessary.

Nancy stated that Nancy Bliden would appreciate a new tree being planted in the East Cemetery in place of the one cut down.

Virginia Wilkins had two complaints for the Trustees to address

1. The flowers she plants every spring get mowed down

2. Her parent’s stones are sinking into the ground (Madeline & Forrest Lund)

The Trustees will address both of these issues in the spring.

She also gave the secretary the name of Marilyn Lund to contact regarding trimming the bushed over the Lund family stone. The secretary agreed to write a letter asking Marilyn to trim the bushes

Two new eagle scouts would be working on the stonewall project in the Churchyard Cemetery. Chris stated they would just be cleaning up and piling rocks for now.
