J. Snow, the acting chair, called the meeting to order at 6:35 p.m. The minutes of the August and October 2005 meetings were unanimously accepted as written.
Old Business:
Dick Medlyn from Medlyn Monument has done some repairs to several stones in South Cemetery. The work has been completed for the year.
J. Snow reported that he has repaired the second stone at Pine Hill cemetery.
Chris Buzzy and J. Snow appeared before the Selectmen on Monday, October 31 to present the budget for 2006. The Selectmen noted the increase in various accounts for the coming year, and stated their wish that net town budgets do not exceed 4% for 2006.
C. Buzzy reported by email that he has been in contact with the Hollis DPW regarding the pile of soil that has been migrating toward a gravesite at East Cemetery. The pile will be moved or removed.
Trustees noted that Herm Stickney has removed the hedgerow of trees at the Churchyard Cemetery, leaving only the stumps. All agreed that the area looks much better already. The stumps will be removed prior to the building of the stone wall at the cemetery.
New Business:
N. Bell reported that Mrs. Patch’s lot at East Cemetery has a stone that has been knocked out of position, presumably by a lawn mower. J. Snow will investigate and reset if possible.
The next meeting of the Trustees will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2006. Agenda items include various changes to the Rules and Regulations.
J. Oliver moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:10 p.m. It was seconded by D. Gagne, and unanimously approved.
