Old Business
The Trustees tabled discussion regarding winter burials and paving the East Cemetery.
Kim informed the Trustees that the Selectmen had given Dave Orde their permission to start farming the new cemetery land.
The DPW found the Stones that seemed to be missing in the East Cemetery for Harry & Helen Bell. The DPW also wanted the Trustees to make sure that the bench placed over the stones last winter be moved secured.
New Business
Joe passed out an estimate from Lawn Dawg regarding lawn fertilization and grub control. The total price for the 6 cemeteries was $18,382. Jeff felt that preventative measures should be taken but looking at the South Cemetery it obviously did not need over seeding. Jeff felt the grounds looked good but he would recommend fall lime and fertilizer. Doug recommended spot treating for grubs if anything were done.
Doug explained that an unlicensed contractor could apply fertilizer. He stated there was no restriction on who could and couldn’t apply pesticides etc. Jeff, JP Lawn, told Chris that he could not apply fertilizer because he was not licensed. Doug volunteered to contact Jeff to discuss this matter.
