Doug met with Jeff, DPW Director, two weeks ago to discuss the agreement made with Arthur LeBlanc, Former DPW Director, regarding the DPW transporting the stones for the new stonewall from the Walker Land to Memorial Park. At that meeting Doug and Jeff intended to go together and look at the stones on the Walker property and formulate a plan and timeline for the transportation of the stones. Doug explained that the serious weather conditions have delayed the meeting. Doug will contact Jeff to follow up on the discussion.

Doug stated the construction of the wall was slated to start in May and he hoped to have the stones moved by late April.

Susan Wider, Cub Scout Leader, introduced herself to the Trustees and reminded them of a request she submitted to them last year. Last year she offered to plant several rose of sharon bushes for them along the wall (library side) of the Churchyard Cemetery. The Trustees thanked her for the reminder and agreed to discuss the offer later in the evening. The secretary agreed to contact Susan with their answer the following day and requested a contact number.

The Trustees decided to allow (4) Rose of Sharon shrubs to be planted. They would like two shrubs planted on each side of the gate. The first shrub on each side is to be no closer than 6 feet from the outer post of the gate. The second shrub is to be 3 feet from the first shrub. The shrubs must be planted as close as possible to the wall.

Doug did not have a chance to contact Deborah Adams, town hall, to discuss adding a cemetery directory to the website. The Trustees discussed the necessity of having the information available online and decided at this time it was not necessary. The Trustees would like language added to the website that directs visitors to contact town hall for more information and states hours of operation.

Jeff asked that the website be updated to include Scott Fisher. The Trustees would like their e-mail addresses and phone numbers updated or added to the website.

The secretary read a request from Senka Fallon to install a small headstone in the East Cemetery, Section E, Lot #203.

Jeff moved to deny the request per Cemetery Rules and Regulations, Section VI.1. Chris seconded and the motion unanimously passed.

Nancy stated that the annual spring clean up of South Cemetery was completed.

Overall the Cemetery looked great.

• Eliza Farley broken and down
• Lichen was growing on many of the stones including Daniel Emerson

The wall (Library side) needs attention. Doug agreed to contact Jeff, DPW Director, to ask if a sign could be installed to warn visitors to keep off of the wall.
